Nominations – 2012 Zipping Classic

Nominations have been released for the 2012 Zipping Classic, which is due to run at Sandown Racecourse this Saturday November 17, 2012.

A total of 14 horses have nominated for the 2012 Zipping Classic, including Mourayan.

Mourayan has won four of his 33 race starts and has earned more than $1.17 million in prize money during his horse racing career.

The Alhaarth entire finished seventh in the Melbourne Cup last start, earning himself $125,000 in prize money.

Mourayan will now look to end his spring racing carnival on a high with victory in the 2012 Zipping Classic.

The seven-year-old won the Group 3 Craven Plate two starts back and appears in top form going into the 2012 Zipping Classic.

Also included in the 2012 Zipping Classic, which is also known as the Sandown Classic, nominations is Precedence.

Precedence has won seven of his 45 race starts and has earned more than $1.15 million in prize money.

The seven-year-old gelding placed a gallant ninth in the Melbourne Cup last start, in what was his third attempt at the race.

Precedence has proved that he is still up with the best of them when it comes to staying races in Australia, and will go into the 2012 Zipping Classic with every chance.

My Quest For Peace is also nominated for the 2012 Zipping Classic, however, is likely to bypass the race in favour of the Group 1 Hong Kong Vase in December.
